Directions

Follow the R27 (West Coast Road) from Cape Town - approx. 200km from Cape Town, beyond the town of Dwarskersbos en route to Elands Bay.   TAR ROADS ALL THE WAY. (See detailed instructions below).  Tar road all the way - Follow the R27 (West Coast Road) from Cape Town N1 until you reachVelddrif. When you get to Velddrif coming over the bridge you will get a stop street at the main road. Continue straight over and continue with the road going over 2 more stop streets untilyou reach a 4-way stop. Turn right at the 4-way stop in the direction of Dwarskersbos (signage will indicate direction from here onwards along your route).  Continue driving through Dwarskersbos and driving for another 20km until you get a T-junction. At the T-junction turn left to Elands Bay and continue for another 15km when you will see an establishment called “Draaihoek Lodge”.  From there you can zero your odo as the farm gate is 12km from the entrance of Draaihoek Lodge on the same side (left-hand side – sea side).  The Farm gate lies on the road bend along the coastline road, before Elands Bay.(about 8km before Elands Bay). If you have gone over the Transnet railway line and start driving up the mountain you have gone too far.
